I'm Caroline Pile, I graduated from Plymouth University with a first-class BA(Hons) in 3D Design, my specialism is Spatial and Interior Design. My Course let me cross the boundaries of spatial, architecture, landscape, engineering and interior design. I have liaised with a number of clients in developing several projects which gave me a better understanding of materials and processes. The past three years have helped me to develop my own unique identity and passion for sustainable design and helped grow my interest in biomimicry. I was awarded the Sustainable Earth Institute – Sustainability award and the 3D Design Alumni – Spatial and Interior award. During my time at University I was selected to present my student accommodation project to directors at UPP, as well as complete some work experience with David Phillips Furniture.

At the end of my first year I was offered work placement at David Phillips of London. where I developed my multifunctional furniture pieces from my project. Plus, I assisted with some of their projects.







I am a qualified Rainbow leader and help run a Ranger unit. I am chair of the national Girlguiding youth forum for Wales and part of the UK team developing the new programme for 18 to 30-year-olds. With Girlguiding I have been selected to represent Wales at international level, where I have had the opportunity to visit South Korea and India. I was able to widen my cultural understanding and enhance my design awareness. 

Throughout my time in guiding I have managed to achieved my Leadership Qualification plus gained the GOLD Duke of Edinburgh Award, for which I completed over 60 hours of volunteer service with Girlguiding and attended Camp CEO as the only Welsh representative.
